Abstract
BackgroundThere is little research on the use of simulation in Chinese nursing education. This research was focused on the effects of using simulation in promoting a range of outcomes among Chinese nursing students in a baccalaureate nursing program in China.MethodIn this descriptive study of 50 sophomore students, three instruments were translated and evaluated to determine the identified outcomes.ResultsThe students were satisfied with the simulation, and their confidence level was increased after participating in the simulation activity. Best practices were thought to be embedded in the simulation.ConclusionThis study showed that simulation is an effective teaching strategy for Chinese nursing students.
