Abstract
Opened in 2009 following 2 years of planning, the Clinical Simulation Center of Las Vegas is an educational venture among three institutions and two health care professions. Because of trends in health care, interprofessional education has become a shared vision. The center serves as a venue for this type of training as well as research. Extensive planning including the development of a collaborative funding model based on each institution's needs was designed. After 3 years in operation, the center is thriving and the foundation of the funding model remains in place.
