Abstract
The transition to menopause creates a new set of health issues and preventive options for women and health care providers. In addition to vasomotor symptoms, concerns regarding hormone therapy and the effects on cardiovascular, breast, and bone health are important to address. As new studies emerge, providers and patients need to make sense of the current recommendations while tailoring care to the individual woman.
