Abstract
Nonattendance at scheduled appointments will negatively impact patients and the entire health system. The purpose of this project was to implement interventions to increase attendance rates among adult type 2 diabetics and to explore their potential impact on glucose control, office income, and staff satisfaction. Interventions included multiple appointment reminders, patient education, and updated patient contact information. Some of the interventions were effective, whereas others did not affect patients' attendance rate and blood sugar level. A basic and brief financial analysis of the clinic was conducted. Staff satisfaction with interventions was explored.
