Abstract
Nurse practitioners have gradually achieved broad-scale prescribing authority that is integral to the full implementation of the role. However, where they practice, under what circumstances they prescribe medications, and the specifics of their drug prescriptions have not been fully described. This special feature for The Journal for Nurse Practitioners sheds valuable light on these prescriptive practices of nurse practitioners.
