Abstract
The boundary element formulation for elastoplastic analysis of shear deformable shells is presented. The numerical implementation is achieved using quadratic elements and domain integrals due to the shell curvature are transformed to the boundary. The integrals involving plastic region are computed using internal cells.
► A BE formulation for elastoplastic analysis of shallow shells is presented. ► BEM is formulated for shear deformable theory including nonlinear plastic strain. ► The boundary only modeling for elastic analysis & internal cells for plastic region.
