Abstract
Neonatal educators and managers face the challenge of engaging new neonatal intensive care unit nurses in consistent, meaningful, and appropriate clinical activities within the constraints of limited orientation time in the hospital. A Critical Thinking Program provides inexperienced nurses an opportunity to pose questions, test skills, and apply concepts and meaning to their newfound knowledge, at a point in time when they are able to better apply this knowledge.
