Abstract
Twin to twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) can be a very confusing diagnosis. The goal of this article is to familiarize the audience with the diagnosis, treatment, and outcome of TTTS. An overview of twinning mechanics, as well as the pathophysiology, staging, treatment options, and outcomes of TTTS, will be discussed. It is important for nurses to understand all of the treatment options available so that support can be given regardless of the path families have chosen.
