Abstract
The Bureau of Labor and Statistics recently reported that 60% of the 3 million-plus practicing nurses work in a clinical setting and that employment of registered nurses is expected to grow 19% between 2012 and 2022.1 This bodes well for patients and for nurses alike, and from all indications, nursing will continue to be a noble and popular career and profession in an expanding and ever-changing marketplace.
