Abstract
I was recently involved in a personal conversation with a nurse executive. She aggressively expressed her ongoing frustration with the utter lack of substantive, quantitative evidence undergirding the powerful contribution of Nursing (capitalized to indicate its entirety, including structure, leadership, culture, education, etc.) to organizational success. In her frustration, she seemed to imply some insidious, anti-nursing conspiracy was at the heart of the challenge.
