Abstract
Taking care of dependent relative is an experience that requires intense and prolonged reorganization of daily living tasks, depending on care and physical and cognitive state of the patient. This is a turning point in the relationship to either deterioration or a strengthening of it. Stroke and its aftermath represent a breakthrough in personal biography and the biography of partner, which requires a comprehensive approach to promote healthy transitions.
