Abstract
Decision making is one of the most important responsibilities of organizational leaders and managers. Effective decision making is critical to organizational success. This is as true for case management organizations (CMO) as it is for any organization. CMO managers face many difficult and complex decisions—whether to expand services to a new area, how to plan for growth, how to provide adequate staffing to meet expected demand, among others. This article explores issues and techniques regarding decision making and then applies these techniques to a specific CMO management scenario.
