Abstract
Sonographic examination of peripheral nerves is incrementally important in routine examination of peripheral nerve diseases. In addition to electrophysiological examination sonography provides further information about morphology of the nerves and the surrounding structures. The diagnostic value of this method depends on the technique applied, experience of the examiner and quality of its indication. This review presents technical equipment, basic examinations of healthy nerves and normal values.
