Abstract
In routine electroneurography with the so-called inching-technique focal conduction slowing or conduction blocks can be found in superficial located parts of peripheral nerves. Using high voltage stimulation (HVS) deeply located parts of nerves can be examined as well. By means of two instructive cases the technique of inching with HVS in deeply located parts of nerves in arms and legs is demonstrated. Usefulness and limitations of the method are pointed out.
