Abstract
Mole burrow fumigation with aluminium phosphide expose workers to airborne phosphine concentrations closely related to concentrations reported with grain fumigation. Whereas personal protective equipments seem suitable, workers evidence common symptoms of exposure and unusual insomnia. Respiratory protective equipment should be used all the time during work.
