Abstract
A better registration of the WRD was observed during these three weeks that yielded more than 1,000 notifications vs 845 in 2001 and 536 in 2002 for the whole year and all the occupational physicians of the region. Regularly repeated, these short periods of registration will provide with useful data on the frequency of pathological manifestations associated with work, as well as an estimate of the extent of undeclared compensable WRD. This surveillance, coordinated by the French Institute for Public Health Surveillance, is currently being extended to other regions in France.
