Abstract
Overexposure to nitrous oxide was clearly demonstrated. Further study of this problem is needed and warranted. In addition to the appropriate use of MEOPA administration devices and compliance with the gas delivery protocol, prevention must also prioritize optimum air circulation during treatment. Therefore, it is advisable to use MEOPA in specifically adapted settings, designed for this use and equipped with a more efficient ventilation system, in order to prevent or reduce cases of overexposure.
