Abstract
The cumulative blood lead index can bring a new perspective to the monitoring of the operators concerned. Blood lead levels have dropped significantly, and is not so much prevent a specific disease on a more banal risk factor. The study of a population of 275 operators exposed for 25 years reveals that, while no poisoning reported, 28% have a cbli higher than 800 μg/year per deciliter, which probably will not be without medical repercussion for some of them.
