Abstract
It is too early to conclude as to the advantage of systematic nasofibroscopy every two years in addition to the annual screening of employees exposed to wood dust. However, nasofibroscopies were well tolerated, allowing inspection of the majority of nasal zones. The pathologies detected were mainly asymptomatic, bilateral, and benign. The collaboration of ENT specialists of Maine-et-Loire allowed validation of the feasibility of the study with the use of nasofibroscopy for screening employees exposed to wood dust. The employees' adhesion to the screening program remains to be assessed. This study has already led workers and employers to a better awareness of the risks of wood dust and the need for preventive measures.
