Abstract
Ski or snowboard waxing with fluorinated ski waxes is a very common and usually safe activity. In these three cases, intensive waxing in a poorly ventilated room, and especially active smoking are responsible for the disease. Inhalation of the pyrolysis by-products of the fluorocarbon resins in contact with the burning cigarette induces cytokine from alveolar macrophages. A review of the literarure is proposed.
