Abstract
Most studies do not take into account the two principal extra-professional risk factors (alcohol and tobacco consumptions), and cannot be used to determine a possible causal effect. A significant association that persists after taking account of many confusion factors was however reported between professional vibration exposure or acute traumatic injury of the upper limbs and occurrence of Dupuytren's disease.
