Abstract
The pictorial art likes to image the blind characters. Humble, miraculous or Biblical characters, iconography is full of examples of persons suffering from blindness. From the Middle Ages until today, the visual disability has been represented on original compositions, particularly in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
