Abstract
The orthoptist, rehabilitator of visual problems, treats oculomotor problems involved when gazing or looking. Reading, a complex act that implies “cognitive control” and “ocular motricity”, is part of orthoptists' daily concern. Theoretical notions illustrate the importance of ocular motricity when reading. A practical approach demonstrates the important place of ocular motricity in the orthoptic management of reading disorders.
