Abstract
Irrespective of the underlying condition, careful history taking and assessment of the patient's personal visual perception is the key to successful adaptation of chromatic filters. It is particularly important to take into account the tasks for which the visual system will be solicited and the effects the chromatic filters will have on visual function (improved contrast, limited glare, photoprotection of the ocular sphere).
