Abstract
Glaucoma is an optical neuropathy of chronic or acute evolution characterised by an excavation of the optical nerve, increased intraocular pressure (or normal in normal pressure glaucoma) and an alteration in visual field that can lead to blindness. In order to complete its diagnosis, the ophthalmologist can request the orthoptist to carry out supplementary examinations, leading to a fruitful collaboration and beneficial for the patient.
