Abstract
Nathan was born prematurely, he is now 4 years old and attending school. Some difficulties have encouraged the analysis of his functional vision due to eye disorders : nystagmus, divergent strabismus. Orthoptics have developed anchoring of the gaze and its management. Subsequently sensorimotor then perceptual-motor rehabilitation contributed to the favourable evolution of Nathan. The origin of nystagmus, its impacts and the choice and planning of therapeutic procedures are discussed while taking into account the organisation of the eyes but most of all the growing child.
