Abstract
The aim of this study is to put in evidence the beliefs, knowledge and the therapeutic attitudes of the people tchaman towards hemiplegia. We interested ourselves therefore to the different sociocultural representations that this people sometimes makes the hemiplegia like handicapping illness and whose treatment is the spring of the traditional and modern medicine. This vision showed the effort of sensitization that must be to lead within this community to integrate and to make discern the primordial place of the functional rehabilitation in the process of recuperation of the hemiplegic in any case.
