Abstract
When re-hospitalization of a woman with traumatic paraplegia and neurogenic bladder, an unusual foreign body is found during ultrasound assessment: the case of a short catheter (SpeedyCath Compact, Conveen) was extracted secondarily by cystoscopy. The foreign body was introduced during a bladder catheterization by a nurse at home. A reflection on the implementation of intermittent catheterization is proposed.
