Abstract
Orthetic devices of lower limb have different indications in patients suffering from neuromuscular diseases. These indications depend in first place on multiple criteria, such as the condition of distal deficiency and joint conservation. Another crucial point is to determine the choice of orthetic device in relation to the inability to balance and walking. At last, more rarely we emphasize the part of pain and growth disorders. We have to emphasize that we must plan prescriptions in relation to pronostic evaluation and avoid functional iatrogenicity frequently observed.
