Abstract
Following-up visually impaired children with additional disabilities brings up questions every day, on a professional level as well as a more personal one. These interrogations are as multiple and diverse as the spectrum of issues and needs those multi-disabled kids present. Beyond taking into account the issues due to sensory deficiency, various and even heterogeneous consequences of additional disabilities can't be overlooked. We will specifically show interest in kids with autism spectrum disorder. We will try to draw a parallel between the particularities and resemblances witnessed in both visually impairment and autism spectrum disorder in terms of psychomotor development. Eventually, we will point out the benefit of a multidisciplinary and sensorimotor perspective for those children, notably through the innovative approach of orthoptics therapy.
