Abstract
Moiré deflectometry has been applied to the measurement of the temperature field in axisymmetric flame spreading, which takes place when a solid fuel (PMMA) is burning in an O2–N2 atmosphere. This work shows the applicability of laser Moiré deflectometry combined with two-dimensional Fourier transform method (TFTM) to these reacting flows, when a good approach of gas composition is used to evaluate the Gladstone–Dale constant. The obtained results are in quite good agreement with thermocouple measurements.
