Abstract
Deuterium ion driven permeation was studied for mixed ion irradiation conditions with He and C. Addition of He greatly reduced permeation, while addition of C enhanced permeation. These phenomena are strongly temperature dependent, but both are significant around surface temperature of blankets (∼800 K). Permeation flux has very weak dependence on microstructure. These results are important for evaluation of T behavior in blanket first walls.
