Abstract

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is a complex cardiac disease with unique pathophysiological characteristics and a great diversity of morphological, functional, and clinical features. Two thirds of patients with HCM display evidence of obstruction in the left ventricular outflow tract. This review describes current management of patients with HCM with a special focus on interventional therapy using alcohol septal ablation.
