Abstract
Orbital metastasis are rare despite the fact that the three most common primary tumors responsible for them are frequent in the population (breast, lung and prostate cancer). We report a case of unilateral orbital metastasis from breast cancer presenting as orbital apex syndrome and revealing widespread metastatic disease. A transnasal biopsy of the spread of the lesion to the sphenoid confirmed the diagnosis. The multidisciplinary management of the patient consisted of palliative systemic hormone therapy (because of the immuno-histochemical overexpression of hormone receptors) and orbital radiotherapy.
