Abstract
In 2010, the National Cancer Institute of France (INCa) published clinical practice guidelines for the management of endometrial cancer, targeting the physicians, with a goal of improving and harmonizing clinical practice. On the other hand, a variety of clinical practice guidelines have been elaborated in different countries, involving various recommendations, particularly with respect to the surgical management of lymph nodes. Recommendations regarding pelvic and aortic node dissections remain controversial across countries. The goal of this work is (1) to assess the quality of the available international guidelines regarding lymph node dissection in early endometrial cancer - the most frequent clinical presentation -, based on internationally acknowledged quality criteria for the elaboration of clinical practice guidelines, and (2) to compare the available recommendations in order to highlight consensual practice and identify remaining points of controversy.
