Abstract
Intestinal endometriosis represents one of the most severe forms of pelvic endometriosis. It is responsible for debilitating symptoms and surgery is frequently required to resolve the disease. The aim of this review is to clarify the different non-invasive imaging methods that can be used to diagnose and to specify the extension of intestinal disease. Hence, the value of transvaginal ultrasonography, rectal endoscopic sonography, MR imaging, and multidetector CR will be assessed.
