Abstract
To consider mammographic density as a risk factor should be a main public health issue because of its frequency in millions of healthy women. Firstly, it is important to understand which density categories were compared to establish relative risk of 4 or 5 with breast cancer risk in some studies. Secondly, epidemiological conditions are not required. The mammographic density cannot be a screening test to distinguish a high risk category of women.
