Abstract
The cancer of the young woman arises before the age of 40 years, it is rare, it is thus important to think of this diagnosis in the exploration of a palpable mass in a young woman. It is the most frequent mode of revelation. These tumors are more often ductal invasive carcinomas, of high grade with embols and discovered to a more advanced stage (T2, N+). The young age is not an independent factor. A BRCA mutation must be looked for; it is found there more frequently. Mammogram and ultrasound features are non specific, but suggestive of a suspicious lesion, but a bigger frequency of pseudobenign-round tumors especially at the BRCA1 patients is noted. Breast MRI is sometimes useful in the assessment of extension; its accuracy is recognized associated with mammography ± ultrasound as method of screening in high-risk women.
