Abstract
Abdominal wall endometriosis is a rare condition. It occurs in most of the cases in women of reproductive age with a history of cesarean section. The pathophysiology of the scar endometriosis is unknown but a direct implantation of the endometrial tissue in scars originated at operation is the most likely mechanism underlying its development. If symptoms are a mass located in scar area associated with cyclic pain, scar edometriosis should be considered. Histopathological examination revealed diagnosis of endometriosis and surgical excision is the choice treatment. We present three cases of endometriosis developing in the abdominal wall following a Pfannenstiel cesarean section. Physical examination suspects the diagnosis witch confirmed by histopathology. A complete surgical resection was realized. All patients had regular follow-up ranging from 6Â months to 42Â months and there are no recurrences in any patient.
