Abstract
The histological report of core needle biopsy is essential to decide the management of patients. Its analysis should be systematic, careful, complete and rigorous. First, it may ensure for the correct report of information associated with the biopsy; second, analyse the microscopic lesions found, especially those associated with the radiographic and the definite diagnosis. Finally, it compares the level of representativity stated by the pathologist with those evaluated by radiologist. This analysis should identify the difficult cases requiring additional confrontation. Misinterpretations, more frequent than expected, are due to numerous causes, one corresponds to the different interpretation of the terms used. Standardized report with concise phrases and multidisciplinary staff may limit errors.
