Abstract
In the exploration of pelvic floor dysfunction, MRI is a very simple, fast examination and does not use X-rays. It quantifies prolapse, offers a morphological study of pelvic floor organs and musculature, and allows for a dynamic approach. We should standardize this examination in terms of both procedure and interpretation. The MRI will definitely replace the standard colpocystodefecography; its one drawback is the reclining position if we are unable to use open-MRI.
