Abstract
Breast cancer includes tumors with different biological characteristics. Current algorithms for treatment strategy are based on clinicopathological classification. However, tumors with similar clinical and histological features can have different treatment responses and clinical outcomes. The development of molecular biology provides new tools describing tumor biology in order to predict individual prognosis and response to treatment. This paper summarizes the different molecular subtypes of breast cancer and the predictive and prognostic genomic tests available.
