Tumeurs borderline de l'ovaire

Borderline ovarian tumors account for 10 to 15% of the whole of ovarian tumors. Their prognosis is better than ovarian carcinoma. Preserving fertility in some cases is possible if preoperative diagnosis is performed. Ultrasound examination allows to affirm the ovarian origin of pelvic mass and to confirm its neoplastic nature. However its specificity remains limited. Dynamic contrast enhanced-MRI can support the diagnosis in favour of a malignant lesion and in certain cases in favour of a borderline lesion.
