Abstract
Measurement of arterial oxygen saturation (SpO2), end-tidal carbon dioxide (ETCO2) and pH are linked in this article as they all can be measured by photometric methods. The underlying physical principles, Beer–Lambert law, and other methods of measurement of pH are outlined including advantages and limitations of these techniques.
