Abstract
A 22-year-old man, admitted after a motorcycle accident with no brain trauma, presented with an isolated delirium, one day after his femur fracture fixation. Diagnosis of cerebral fat embolism was made using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which displayed a typical “starfield” pattern. This report highlights the major role of MRI to confirm this syndrome and to rule out other neurological complications in a traumatic context.
