Abstract
We report a rare case of mycotic aneurysm of the thoracic aorta secondary to a food foreign body, revealed by an aorto-oesophageal fistula responsible for an inaugural haematemesis. Despite two endovascular treatments, performed to exclude the aneurysm, the patient will die of a stroke. Aorto-oesophageal fistula should be considered in any haematemesis without obvious etiology and requires a surgical management and emergency resuscitation.
