Abstract
In spite of its well-acknowledged benefits, the Enhanced Recovery programme is not yet easily adopted by the French medical teams. This statement emphasizes the need for developing plans and tools allowing standardizing the implementation process and structuring the follow-up. The review intends to focus on cultural aspects, business tools, major principles and the management of obstacles observed during the implementation of the Rapid Recovery after Surgery process in a group of private for-profits clinics.
