RésuméL’intoxication par l’arsenic (As) est devenue très rare. Nous rapportons ici deux cas d’intoxication aiguë et chronique criminelle par l’As conduisant au décès d’un couple de retraités. La présentation clinique avait été trompeuse, simulant une toxi-infection alimentaire (TIAC) évoluant rapidement vers un tableau de choc réfractaire. Les analyses toxicologiques avaient confirmé ce diagnostic, avec des concentrations d’As sanguin respectivement à 579 et 21 765 μg/l chez les deux patients.
Arsenic (As) intoxication is nowadays extremely rare. Two cases of acute and chronic As criminal poisoning leading to death of a couple of retired people, are reported. Clinical presentation was simulating a gastro-enteritidis with fast evolution to refractory shock. Toxicological analysis confirmed this diagnostic, with respectively blood As concentrations at 579 and 21 765 μg/l for our two patients.
