Abstract
Conclusions: Improvement in lung function parameters correlating with decreased postoperative pain with intrapleural bupivacaine was observed. Intrapleural analgesia provided a good level of analgesia, improved respiratory performance, and allowed rapid mobilization, which led to a reduction of postoperative respiratory complications.
