Abstract
The acute poisoning with hydrocarbon vapors is mostly reported as part of occupational poisonings. Their gravity is directly related to the nature of the compound and duration of exposure. We report two cases of severe poisoning in a family that occurred in their home. The rapid response and transfer to an ICU have a favorable development for the two victims, despite ARDS developed in one patient.
